How to Choose the Right Bounce House for your Event?
Planning an event and thinking about renting a bounce house? Whether you're hosting a birthday party, school carnival, church gathering, or community event choosing the right inflatable can take your celebration from fun to unforgettable. But with so many options available, how do you know which bounce house is the right one for your event?
Here is a helpful guide to make the decision easier and ensure your event is a hit!
1. Consider Age Group
Bounce Houses come in different shapes, sizes, and features tailored to specific age groups.
- Younger Kids (Age 2-7): Choose a smaller, enclosed bounce house with minimal climbing or sliding. Make sure to check out our Toddler Sized Rentals for some ideas,.
- Older Kids (Age 8-12): Go for larger bounce houses or combos with slides and climbing walls like our Shark Attack Combo, or maybe our Temple Run Obstacle.
- Teens & Adults: Interactive games like obstacles, games and larger slides (we recommend 20ft +) to keep your big guests entertained.
2. Know Your Space
Before booking, measure the area where the inflatable(s) will be set up.
- Make sure space is flat and clear of debris, low hanging trees, power lines, or fences.
- Make sure access to power and/or water is within a reasonable distance (50ft or less).

3. Match the Theme
Throwing a princess party or a superhero bash? 2gether We Bounce has a LARGE selection of themed inflatables like tropical, monster trucks, dinosaurs, mermaids, and more!
4. Think About the Features
Bounce Houses aren't just for bouncing anymore! There are tons of options to add a little "more" to your rental!
- Combo Units: These are your bounce house + slide. They come in different sizes, themes, and some are single lane while others are double lane. These can be used year-round since they can be used dry or wet.
- Water Slides: These are your standard slides, come in all sizes from toddler-sized to HUGE. Besides coming in different themes they also come in single and double lane, or even with the option to add a Slip-N-Slide for extra excitement.
- Obstacles: Great for competitive fun and larger events.
5. Check Guest Count
How many kids are attending your event? A standard bounce house typically holds 6-8 kids at a time depending on age and size.
- Small Backyard Parties: A basic unit should be fine.
- Large Events: You might need multiple inflatables or large obstacles to prevent long wait times, crowding, and the possibility of injury.
6. Safety First
Choose a reputable company with clean, well-maintained inflatables and proper insurance.
- Ask if/how they sanitize their units.
- Make sure setup and takedown is handled by trained staff and that they are properly securing units with either stakes or sandbags.
- Ensure adult supervision is part of the rental agreement.
- Make sure that there are no visible holes, or badly repaired (taped), damaged netting, or physical issues with the rental unit provided.
